Betrayal Trauma

Heal Trauma from Betrayal

You’re not crazy. You’re not broken. You have betrayal trauma and you can heal.

Schedule
We understand the depth of pain and loss that come through betrayal and know how to help our clients navigate the journey every step of the way; from discovery and crisis to grieving and healing. We are passionate about treating betrayal from a trauma perspective and implement interventions that promote safety (emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental) as the foundation on which to begin the healing process.

What Is Betrayal Trauma?

When trust and safety are broken through infidelity, the reaction is manifested in characteristics aligned with PTSD; namely depression, anxiety, flashbacks, recurrent nightmares, and avoidance of reminders of the event.

Steps to Recovery

Step 1

Make a decision to want help and reach out.

We provide a safe, calming, non-judgmental, confidential and comfortable environment to share your story and begin the healing process.

We are here for you.

Step 2

Meet with your therapist

Meet with your therapist as they will assess your situation. This will then guide the development of your personalized recovery plan. Your plan can include individual therapy, group therapy, EMDR therapy, couples therapy, and/or mindfulness.

Step 3

Implementing your personalized plan: one day at at time

You and your therapist will continue to collaborate as you begin the process of healing. Generally, this includes a variety of important therapeutic elements such as understanding your trauma, grieving your losses, navigating the questions, setting boundaries and gathering information needed in order to make decisions about the relationship through obtaining a therapeutic disclosure (when possible).
